Researchers: Therefore, it's good for you to sleep for a long weekend
Sleep with good conscience on weekends.

Do you have a bad conscience because you slept all weekend?
You should not have that - according to a new study.
It may be good to sleep on the weekend if you sleep a little during the week.
In the new study, 43,000 people in Sweden have been studied, and the researchers focused on how the age of persons affects the significance of sleep length for one's survival, writes Sveriges Radio.
Risks to sleep less than five hours a night
Those under the age of 65 are most affected by sleep length. The researchers could see that if you slept less than five hours a night you had an increased risk of dying prematurely.
But if you sleep longer on weekends you can reduce that risk and then catch up with sleep.
"It seems that you can compensate for sleeping on the weekend," says Torbjörn ?kerstedt, Professor of Psychology, to Sweden's Radio.
The researchers also knew that if you sleep more than eight hours each night, that's not good either. But yet one has not clarified the reason why those who sleep very little or very much risk dying prematurely.
Can take sleep over the weekend
But if you belong to those who get a little sleep over the weeks, you can at least comfort yourself that the study seems to be good at sleeping over the weekend.
