BELGRADE Announcements of a government reshuffle are political and have to do with divisions in the Serb Progressive Party (SNS), Borislav Stefanovic has stated. The opposition Democratic Party (DS) MP and whip added that the announcements of the reshuffle were also made due to SNS leader Aleksandar Vucic’s need to bring his own people. DS official: Talk about govt. reshuffle “political” “Their (SNS’) problem is incompetence of the personnel who have good goals and intentions but do not have competence, knowledge and honesty to achieve them. Whoever you pull out and put in the government, we are sure they will not bring new quality to citizens,” Stefanovic said. He believes it is possible that both a reshuffle and early elections could take place because the “reshuffle will have the same effect as the 2011 one – it will not have deep and precise enough effect on citizens’ interests”. “This is an attempt of a brutal partisanship and an attempt to cover up for disastrously bad staff of the ruling coalition, especially the SNS,” Stefanovic stressed. When asked if Vucic could invite former DS officials to join the government, he said that it was very likely but that “all those political escapades will not bring progress to citizens because the entire government and coalition are not united and do not have enough competency to realize their goals”.
