This was heard from Andreas Moelzer, chief of Austria's Freedom Party group in the European Parliament. "That is precisely what the EU has not done," he said, commenting on the resumption of the talks between Belgrade and Prisstina on Monday, and adding that Brussels had shown itself as a protector of the Kosovo Albanians in the past. Brussels pressures Belgrade in a way that should not be allowed, while being lenient towards the Kosovo Albanians, he noted. "So there is still no protection for the Serbs in northern Kosovo, and the silence from the EU, otherwise very sensitive to issues concerning human rights, together with the destruction of Serbian cultural heritage and desecration of Orthodox churches by the Kosovo Albanians has to be labelled as shameful," Moelzer remarked. The final word on Kosovo has not been said yet, he pointed out. "A division of Kosovo, that is a secession of the predominantly Serb populated north, has to be taken into consideration," Moelzer stressed, adding that there was also still a lot to do in terms of protecting the Serbian cultural heritage, which was why the EU should change its "one-sided stance that favors the Kosovo Albanians".
