The head of the Military Medical Academy, Professor Miroslav Vukosavljević, says that the institution was on duty during the New Year's Eve, which passed relatively peacefully.

It accommodates 67 patients, eight are in intensive care, and one patient has been intubated.

"We have vacancies, I hope it will not be needed, following what is happening in the world, the new strain of omicron should not give a larger number of hospitalizations," says Professor Vukosavljevic.

The number of hospitalized is falling compared to a month ago, the doctor added.
