Montenegrin police have said that Darko Saric is not hiding in that country. "We repeat that, according to our information, Darko Saric is not in the territory of Montenegro," the statement said. Police deny cocaine boss hiding in Montenegro This came in reaction to an article in Belgrade's Politika newspaper that claims Saric was seen in a hotel in the Montenegrin seaside resort of Budva. Police in that country say that he is in fact "hiding in a European state", with which Montenegro has "active communication". The statement also said that Montenegrin police will "no longer react to such and similar disinformation concerning Saric". Saric, a Montenegrin native with a Serbian passport, is suspected of organizing the trafficking of over two tons of cocaine from South America to Europe last year. He is currently at large.
