Decision on Serb municipalities deal "as early as next week"

The court in Pristina in November suspended the part of the Brussels agreement reached during the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue - sponsored by the EU - that relates to a future community of municipalities with a Serb majority (ZSO), and should rule on its constitutionality.

Opposition parties in the Kosovo assembly have been blocking its work for some time as a form of protest against the agreement, resorting to throwing tear gas inside the building in order to interrupt sittings, while their supporters clashed with the police in the streets.

Kosovo Prime Minister Isa Mustafa said on Thursday his government would respect any decision of the court.

Another Pristina-based broadcaster, KTV, is reporting on Friday that Kosovo will not be granted visa liberalization by the EU, and, quoting sources in Brussels, added that Pristina would be criticized for not making enough effort to fight organized crime.
