Immigrant riots spread in Swedish capital

Gangs of up to 60 youths set fire to cars, smashed windows, set a school and a nursery ablaze, and hurled rocks at police and firefighters, the AP is reporting.

Police spokesman Kjell Lindgren said that one person was arrested on suspicion of arson of a cultural center housed in a 19th century building.

He also said that 30 vehicles were set ablaze in six suburbs where mainly immigrants live.
