BELGRADE Members of the family of Zoran Djindjic and his former associates on Tuesday visited his grave and placed wreaths and flowers on the anniversary of his death. The mother of the slain Serbian prime minister, Mila Djindjic, was among them, as were his window and son, Ruzica and Luka. Wreaths and flowers laid at Djindjic's grave Several ministers who served in Djindjic's cabinet - Aleksandar Vlahovic, Gordana Matkovic, Slobodan Milosavljevic and Dragoslav Sumarac - paid their respects today. Zoran Zivkovic, who took over as prime minister after the March 12, 2003 assassination, also visited the grave, as did a delegation of the United Regions of Serbia, headed by Mladjan Dinkic. Numerous members of the Democratic Party (DS) and citizens today went to the Alley of Deserving Citizens at Belgrade's New Cemetery to honor the former prime minister. Today marks a decade since Zoran Djindjic was shot and killed in front of the government headquarters in Belgrade. Tens of thousands of people, headed by Boris Tadic, Cedomir Jovanovic, and Dragan Djilas, also took part in a walk organized in Belgrade in memory of the assassinated prime minister by the opposition DS and LDP parties.
