None of Serbian officials will attend marking of the 16th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide in Potocari on July 11, daily Danas writes. Bosnia-Herzegovina Foreign Ministry Adviser Mirsad Besic said none of Serbia’s officials had announced their arrival to the commemoration. Daily: Serbia's reps won’t attend Srebrenica commemoration Aside from Croat President Ivo Josipovic, there will be no top officials from the countries of the region. Besic told the daily that the commemoration will mostly be attended by ambassadors. The daily did not manage to learn from Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic why nobody from the Serbian government will attend the commemoration. Danas has learned from the Foreign Ministry that Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic will be on an official visit to Mexico on July 11. After his recent visit to Sarajevo, Serbian President Boris Tadic will soon again meet with the three Bosnia-Herzegovina Presidency members and Josipovic. The unofficial trilateral meeting will be held at the Brioni Islands in Croatia on July 18. “We cannot say anything about the details of the meeting, meaning about the announced topics, at this point,” the Croat president’s cabinet told the daily. Bosnia-Herzegovina Liberal Democratic Party former deputy leader Rijad Duric pointed out that the fact there will be no Serbian officials in Srebrenica on July 11 was a bad message. “Then again, Tadic already was in Srebrenica and I don’t think that big responsibility lies with him. The truth is, a Belgrade representative should always be present, whose presence would convey a message that some horrible time is behind us. Unfortunately, there won’t be any of it this time and official Belgrade should say why,” he explained.
