Dodik: I respect Bosnia, RS in it

RS PM Milorad Dodik says he is a "legalist" who respects the Dayton Accord, and thus Bosnia-Herzegovina, with the Serb republic (RS) as one of the two entities. The premier commented on Croatian President Stjepan Mesic’s statement that Dodik "did nt accept Bosnia-Herzegovina”, and told a press conference he was "glad that a president showed interest in him. Dodik: I respect Bosnia, RS in it “I’m the prime minister of a small entity and I shouldn’t comment on the fact that it occupies attention of a president of a country. Besides, he will only be on in that office for a few more months,” Dodik said. He repeated that he accepted Bosnia according to the Dayton peace deal and that his "priority" was "RS within Bosnia-Herzegovina", but that he was against the transfer of jurisdiction from the entity to the state level under pressure, and that his government would not allow for it to happen. Reflecting on Mesic’s statement that "Croats did not need a third entity in Bosnia-Herzegovina", Dodik invited him to come to Siroki Brijeg – a Herzegovina town with a huge Croat majority – and ask local Croats whether they supported the Croatian president and his statements. The post-Dayton Bosnia is made up of two entities: RS and the Muslim-Croat Federation of Bosnia.
