NATO has still not discussed, assessed or made decisions on the Serbian proposal to revise the Kumanovo agreement, it was heard in Brussels today. NATO spokesman James Appathurai was reacting to statements from Serbian President Boris Tadic and Serbian Army Chief of the General Staff Lt. Gen. Zdravko Ponos, on the need to make changes to the accord that ended NATO's 78 days of attacks on Serbia in 1999. "No debate on Kumanovo revision" Appathurai also announced a debate of NATO member-states' foreign ministers on the situation in Kosovo for tomorrow. Speaking in a news conference, he said that NATO was aware of the stand of Tadic and Ponos regarding the revision of the Kumanovo accord. Appathurai said tha t "nothing had changed about the issue for the time being", according to a Tanjug report. This spokesman said that the NATO foreign ministers would discuss developments in Kosovo after last week's UN Security Council session. "Developments in Kosovo deserve a ministerial discussion," he said.

Appathurai also announced a debate of NATO member-states' foreign ministers on the situation in Kosovo for tomorrow.

Speaking in a news conference, he said that NATO was aware of the stand of Tadić and Ponoš regarding the revision of the Kumanovo accord.

Appathurai said tha t "nothing had changed about the issue for the time being", according to a Tanjug report.

This spokesman said that the NATO foreign ministers would discuss developments in Kosovo after last week's UN Security Council session.

"Developments in Kosovo deserve a ministerial discussion," he said.
