Zakharova: The EU's warnings to Vučić regarding his visit to Moscow are banditry and blackmail
The spokeswoman of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Zakharova, says that the European Union's warnings to Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić regarding his trip to Moscow for Victory Day are "banditry and blackmail".

"What are the 'black signs' that the West shares as warnings? This is how pirates act, this is how the mafia acts, this is how blackmailers and criminals act, this is how terrorist cells act," Zakharova said on Telegram.
She also accused the European Commission of "adopting gangster business methods" when it comes to, as she assessed, "rough behavior" towards Serbia, which is a candidate country for EU membership, reports the Russian news agency TASS.
"Has the European Commission abandoned democracy? If they respect democracy as a principle, then they should also respect the results of democratic, popular expression of will. And not to resort to methods that the European Commission itself rejects - dictatorship," Zakharova said.
European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas warned European leaders not to participate in military celebrations in Moscow on May 9, but instead to show solidarity with Ukraine.
"What was also very clearly discussed and mentioned by various member states is that any participation in the May 9 parades or celebrations in Moscow will not be taken lightly by the European side, given that Russia is really waging a major war in Europe," said Kaja Kallas.
At the same time, Jonatan Vseviov, Secretary General of the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, warned that "certain decisions have a price" and that countries that decide to have their officials attend Victory Day in Moscow will not be able to join the European Union.
