EU rep: Community of Serb Municipalities must be established

Head of the EU office in Kosovo Samuel Zbogar has said that the Community (Association) of Serb Municipalities "will have to be established."

EU rep: Community of Serb Municipalities must be established

In an interview for KTV, carried by Albanian language daily Koha Ditore, Zbogar also said EU countries would "think twice" before deciding to grant visa regime liberalization to Kosovo "if the opposition continues to use tear gas in the assembly."

"Tear gas is the red line that the international community in Kosovo will not cross," he said.

Zbogar also said that due to the current political situation, the EU "is not insisting that the Kosovo assembly passes immediately the border demarcation agreement with Montenegro" - but that "the mechanism for the Community of Serb Municipalities must be established, as the two sides (Belgrade and Pristina) agreed in Brussels."
