Vucic, Iohannis back strengthening of economic cooperation

Vucic and Iohannis "agreed that the two countries need to strengthen their economic cooperation because the potentials in the sector have not been exploited to a sufficient degree."

They also "discussed the cooperation between Serbia and Romania in energy and the construction of the Belgrade-Timisoara highway," the Serbian government said in a statement.

Vucic said that the relations between Serbia and Romania are important for the entire Western Balkans region and expressed gratitude to Romania for its support to Serbia's European integration.

He expressed the hope that the efforts invested by Serbia, Romania and Bulgaria within the Craiova Group would contribute to accelerated pace of Serbia's EU accession.

Vucic and Iohannis " agreed that all issues concerning the position of the Romanian national minority and Serbian national minority in Romania should be solved within the international mixed commission for minorities."
