Thaci says Pristina will sue Serbia for "genocide"

He described as "senseless" the accusations that former CoE Rapporteur Dick Marty presented in his report in 2010 - about the involvement of the ethnic Albanian KLA, of which he was one of the leaders, in war crimes, including human organ trafficking - but said that Pristina "will support the establishment of a special court that will deal with those accusations, adding that this will be the fifth investigation into the accusations against the Kosovo Albanians."

Thaci dismissed the allegations concerning the aspirations to create a Greater Albania as "groundless."

"We condemn the violence in Macedonia, dialogue is the only solution. We don't want any destabilization. Macedonia is Kosovo's ally on the road to the EU," Thaci said, adding that "Kosovo respects the Ohrid Agreement" that ended the conflict between Macedonian and ethnic Albanians.

However, he added that Macedonia "needs more democracy," and also "an international independent investigation" into the armed conflict in Kumanovo.

In his address to the Council, Thaci also noted that Belgrade and Pristina "should soon recognize each other, which would enable Kosovo to join the UN, and bring Serbia closer to membership in the EU and NATO."
