Serbia "will not get gas from Turkish Stream"

"I think that the realization of Turkish Stream (in Serbia) is impossible and that we will not receive gas from that direction," Nikolic said in an interview with the Interfax news agency.

The Russian agency noted that Serbian Ambassador to Russia Slavenko Terzic said earlier the abandonment of South Stream and a new agreement on Turkish Stream "made the energy situation difficult for Serbia."

The president also spoke about the Western sanctions imposed on Russia, to say:

"We have presented to all European officials our position that now we do not agree with the imposition of sanctions against Russia, but when we become a member (of the EU), we will have to conduct a common foreign policy."

Speaking about the ambition to join the organization, Nikolic said that "Kosovo will be a bigger obstacle than Serbia's development of cooperation with Russia."
