Five drown in river after traffic accident

Five person died on Friday morning after their car drove off the road and into the Ibar River in northern Kosovo, it has been confirmed.

Five drown in river after traffic accident

Regional official of the Kosovo police Željko Bojić told Tanjug that the accident happened at around 09:45 CET, and that all five persons traveling in the car were dead when the police found them.

The victims have not yet been identified by the police.

Tanjug reported that they came from the village of Vuče near Leposavić, and that a married couple, their two minor children, and another relative died in the river today.

Kosovska Mitrovica health care center director Milan Ivanović told Tanjug that three adults and two children were brought to the hospital without exhibiting any life signs, and that the cause of death of all five was drowning.
