PRAGUE The daughter of the Palestinian ambassador in Prague, who died in an explosion earlier this week, has suggested that her father was "killed." Jamal al-Jamal died "in a mysterious explosion" while opening a safe in his residence, Reuters reported, and quoted his daughter Rana as saying that the family believes he was "killed, and that his death was something arranged and not an accident." Ambassador's daughter says her father was "killed" "How? We do not know and that is what we want to know," she said. Czech police said the blast that killed al-Jamal might have been caused by mishandling an explosive securing the safe, and that they were not treating it as an attack or a terrorist incident. "The safe was emptied and moved to the house. My father had been putting documents inside it and it was open. The explosion took place while he used it," Rana al-Jamal said. Previously, the Czech police said they found unlicensed weapons at the Palestinian diplomatic mission, but gave no details about the type or quantity.
