BELGRADE Ivica Dacic has stated that the police action against illegal drug trafficking Operation Grom-1 was aimed against internal drug dealing network. The network "starts operating after drugs have already arrived in the country," Tanjug quoted the prime minister and interior minister as saying. The police remanded 124 suspects in 48-hour detention as a result of the operation conducted against illegal drug traffickers. Seven individuals were brought in to the prosecutor's office, nearly 20 kilograms of various drugs seized, over 50 pieces of various weapon confiscated, six wanted individuals captured and eight crimes solved, the Serbian Ministry of Interior said. The police searched 1,165 locations where they found 1,045 people, the release states, noting that criminal charges will be filed against 115 individuals at the warrant by competent prosecutor's offices.
