Vučić satisfied with meetings in Croatia

BELGRADE First Deputy PM Aleksandar Vucic stated Monday that he is confident that Serbia and Croatia are raising the level of their relations slowly but surely. He told Tanjug that he is satisfied with his visit to Zagreb, where he conferred with Croatia's most senior officials. Vucic satisfied with meetings in Croatia "I am satisfied with this visit, although of course we know that we disagree about certain things which were happening in past, from 1991 to 1995, but what is of paramount importance is that we talked about future and ways to resolve problems," Vucic said after wrapping up his first official visit to the Croatian capital. He also stated that the two countries started resolving issues concerning missing persons, Serb pensioners who lived in Croatia, Serbs who were not recognized or were deprived of tenancy rights or those who are not allowed to purchase their property under the same conditions as other citizens of Croatia. "We discussed these issues, which date back 18 years or more, but also what lies ahead when it comes to the two countries' European future, development of our economies, joint participation in the third market and even the field of defense industry," the first deputy prime minister said. He added that they also talked about joint infrastructure projects, Belgrade-Zagreb railway and other important topics the two countries can perform together. The first deputy prime minister Monday had separate meetings with Croatian President Ivo Josipovic, Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic, Deputy Prime Minister Nevena Mimica and Defense Minister Ante Kotromanic.
