Serbian president meets with UN secretary general

NEW YORK Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic has met with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon who thanked him for his participation in a public debate on the Hague Tribunal. Tanjug has learned that Nikolic had told Ban that justice had not been served with the Hague Tribunal’s verdicts and that the Serbian people therefore felt resignation and distrust for the Tribunal. The debate was opened by UNGA President Vuk Jeremic and the highest number of member states in the history of UN public debates participated in it. The U.S., Canada and Jordan boycotted the debate.
