BELGRADE Serbian Patriarch Irinej wished a happy Easter to all Christians and church leaders celebrating the greatest Christian holiday on Sunday, March 31. Patriarch Irinej sent messages to Pope Francis, Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby, president of the Council of the Evangelical Church in Germany Nicholas Schneider, and dignitaries of other Protestant churches. He also wished a happy Easter to ecumenical and confessional bodies and organizations, including the World Council of Churches, the Conference of European Churches and others.
