BELGRADE The Social-Economic Council of Serbia did not deliver a decision on a minimum salary for the period from March to December 2013. The council's session in Belgrade on Thursday was presided by Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic. Council fails to reach decision on minimum wage The failure to set the minimum wage figure came due to "discordant views of employers, trade unions and the Serbian government", it has been announced. The Serbian government will determine the minimum salary for this year in the next ten days, a statement from the Social-Economic Council said. The council recommended Boza Draskovic for board member of the Anti-Corruption Agency. The meeting also considered the initiative for changes to the Criminal Code, which requests that failure to pay workers should be treated as a crime, and the draft law on social entrepreneurship and employment with social enterprises.
