According to this, Ivanov "stood up and left the meeting after two minutes with no desire to learn more about the content of the agreement."

The presidential cabinet also announced that Ivanov would address the public on Wednesday.

Ivanov has consistently opposed the way in which an agreement was being sought with Greece - namely, he thinks that the solution should fit within the current constitution of that former Yugoslav republic.

The oral agreement, according to which the country's new name is "The Republic of North Macedonia," was announced on Tuesday and is considered historical. Top officials of the EU and the United States have welcomed the deal.

But for the Macedonian opposition and President Ivanov, the new name is unacceptable.
