Republic of Serbia Square opened in Buenos Aires

First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic opened last night in Buenos Aires a square named after the Republic of Serbia.

Republic of Serbia Square opened in Buenos Aires

The ceremony was attended by First Vice-President of Buenos Aires City Council Carmen Polledo, representatives of the Serb diaspora in Argentina, Bishop Kiril Bojovic of the Serbian Orthodox Church's Latin American Diocese, and representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Argentina.

In a short speech, Dacic highlighted the importance of friendly relations and cooperation between Serbia and Argentina, and their tradition.

Dacic said the naming of the square after his country "represents a new inspiration and provides additional incentives for further comprehensive development of relations between Serbia and Argentina."
