Rule of law yet to take root - Bosnia Presidency chairman

Presidency of Bosnia-Herzegovina Chairman Dragan Covic said in Belgrade on Monday that the rule of law had not yet taken root in Bosnia-Herzegovina (BiH).

He referring to the acquittal last week of Naser Oric, a Bosniak (Muslim), who was accused of war crimes committed against Serbs.

Covic, who represents Croats in the tripartite Presidency, also said that "only one nation cannot dominate in BiH - and if it comes to changing the Constitution or Annex 4 of the Dayton Agreement, it will be done with the neighbors - Croatia and Serbia."

"There is not a single issue that we will not be solving with our neighbors," said Covic.

He added that the news of Oric's acquittal reached him in Banja Luka, where he spoke with Milorad Dodik, president of the Serb entity (RS) in BiH - and that he at the time commented on this verdict in the same way.
