According to KRIK, Vulin stressed that he brought the money EUR 9,000 at a time, thus avoiding to report the sum to the Customs.

"The minister of Ddfense tried to avoid journalistic questions during today's visit to the Branko Pesic School in Zemun. A KRIK journalist continued to follow him and after insisting the minister gave an incredible explanation," said KRIK.

The article then quotes Vulin as saying:

"Who says it was brought in in one piece? Who says it wasn't brought in 9,000 at a time, in line with the law?"

To the repeated question of the journalist, to say whether he transferred the money that way, he replied affirmatively.

"If this is true, Vulin had to travel 23 times from Canada to Serbia and bring in the money," it is added.

KRIK previously said that Vulin could not prove the origin of more than EUR 200,000 used to buy the apartment.

On suspicion that he had committing a criminal offense, the Anti-Corruption Agency reported him to the Prosecution, which two years later suspended the proceedings.
