"We had a very useful exchange on measures we can develop together, from the ones that are more technical counter-terrorism measures, including some legislation, to measures that are linked to the issues of integration, social and economic opportunities for all, identity - touching upon the different strengths of work that can help our societies to prevent a phenomenon that is becoming global and that for sure affects us all," she said, Tanjug reported.

The host of the meeting, Estonian Foreign Minister Sven Mikser, said that the EU Council of Ministers has "a tradition of considering important issues with colleagues from candidate countries" and that fighting against terrorism, radicalism, and radicalization was "a joint challenge to all of us."

He warned that "a quick victory" should not be expected in the fight against terrorism, adding that this was "a complex problem" that requires simultaneous fight on multiple sides - from preventing attacks to youth education.

Serbian Minister for European Integration Jadranka Joksimovic, who is attending the Tallinn meeting, said that the exchange of information on radicalism and terrorism was "important for the security of both EU member states and candidate countries."
