"Don't ask me anything more at this time, I don't wish to discuss it, without having a clear picture. I'm working on the keynote at this time, I can't wait to be back in the office and continue working on it," she told reporters.

Brnabic would not reveal when she will request a special sitting of the Assembly that will vote on the new cabinet, nor whether she will keep her current government portfolio of state administration and local self-government. She also refused to talk about the details of her keynote, before going to the Assembly.

"The only fair (thing) to do, while fully respecting institutions, is to present that first to the deputies (Assembly members) who represent all citizens. I think I will present it to the Assembly first," the PM-designate said.

Commenting on JS leader Dragan "Palma" Markovic's remark that she is "not his PM" - and announcements that he and his deputies, although members of the ruling coalition, will not vote for her in the Assembly - Brnabic said that each deputy has the right to do so, and that she expects Markovic to decide whether to support her and her cabinet once he learns its composition and program - "but only based on that."

Tanjug is reporting that Brnabic's arrival in Vrnjacka Banja today caused great attention, and that a large number of journalists and citizens gathered to welcome and congratulate her on her appointment.

President Aleksandar Vucic on Thursday announced that Brnabic was his nominee for prime minister. If elected, she will be the first woman to lead Serbia's government, as well as the first openly gay prime minister in Serbia and the Balkans - and the world's fifth.
