Educational robots given to schools in three towns

In this initiative of introducing programming and robotics in primary education, B92 Fund in early January called on all schools to sign up in order to receive these teaching tools, so that students can easily learn programming, robotics, mechanics, all through playing.

"Elixir Group is strongly committed to the communities where it is active with its company, from Prahovo to Sabac. In addition to the humanitarian aid to the poorest, the assistance in the necessary equipment to health institutions, cultural and sports associations, we pay special attention to education. In addition to direct support to the primary school in Prahovo, we decided to get involved in the Fund B92 campaign and take part in the purchase of the robots and in the training of teachers in these schools, so that they could be trained to get involved in educational programs for students who will then compete in coding. We are very pleased to participate in the modernization of our education, to create cadres that are necessary for this country and for whom there will be an increasing need in the future. We are especially pleased that this campaign is designed in such a way to make robotics and programming available to all children regardless of their financial situation," said Zorica Popovic, director of Elixir Group.

Chairman of the B92 Fund Veran Matic pointed out that the way Elixir Group operates is exemplary in the business community, while commitment to benefit local communities, through successful development and new jobs, is the key to long term success.

As part of "Battle for Knowledge" with the donation of Elixir Group modern teaching aids have been acquired for eight elementary schools - "Janko Veselinovic" and "Nikolaj Velimirovic" from Sabac, "Pavle Ilic Veljko" from Prahovo, "Branko Radicevic," "Hajduk Veljko," "Vuk Karadzic," "Pavle Ilic Veljko" and "Vera Radosavljevic" from Negotin and its vicinity.

Elixir Group participates in the promotion of socially important projects, its activities are focused on assistance to vulnerable groups, support to professional and children's sports, promotion of healthy lifestyles, support of scientific research activities and cultural institutions and the strengthening of partnerships with local and regional communities in which it operates. Its youngest member of Elixir Prahovo has in the previous year in the municipality of Negotin and Prahov supported primary schools, sports clubs, a variety of festivals as well as a health center in Negotin, to which it last year donated medical equipment, and all these activities will continue next year.
