Thaci, other officials "investigated by Special Court"

Kosovo President Hashim Thaci and Kosovo Assembly President Kadri Veseli are under investigation of <a href="http://www.b92.net/eng/news/crimes.php?yyyy=2016&mm=11&dd=11&nav_id=99670" class="text-link" target= "_blank">the Special Court</a> for crimes committed by the former KLA.

Thaci, other officials "investigated by Special Court"

He told Kosovo-based broadcaster KTV that this court's investigations are being carried out "completely differently compared to EULEX, the Hague Tribunal, and UNMIK."

According to Kajtazi, other Kosovo officials under investigation include the assembly's deputy president Xhavit Haliti.

"They are investigated for a series of crimes committed before and during the war. This court is the consequence of our passivity," Kajtazi said.

An activist from the Besa Luzha civil society organization told KTV that "the civil society for the most part supports the Special Court." Analyst Mufail Limani, meanwhile, described the establishing of the court as "the greatest evil that ever befell Kosovo."
