Several people were killed and others were injured in a shooting at a Walmart in Chesapeake, Virginia, on Tuesday night, and the shooter is dead, Chesapeake police said.
"Chesapeake Police confirm a firearms incident at Walmart on Sam's Trail and several fatalities. The shooter is among the victims," the city of Chesapeake's Twitter account said, according to Reuters.

At 10:12 p.m., police responded to a report of a shooting inside a Walmart, public information officer Leo Kosinski said in a media briefing, adding that "less than 10" people were dead but declining to give the exact number.
Officials could not provide an exact number of those killed and wounded at the store. But city spokeswoman Elizabeth Vaughn said police reported there were "less than 10" people dead.
The police are currently going through the market looking for more victims.
