The centers, each with a capacity of 100, will receive minors who have committed a crime in Germany.

The deported refugees will receive medical care, education and training, German media are reporting.

The project is said to be in early stages, but the building should start this year, while the centers should enter "the testing phase" by 2020.

It will likely cost Germany EUR 960,000 each year to build and maintain these facilities.

The plan is for the centers to also accept homeless Moroccan minors "giving them an opportunity to stay in Morocco and prevent illegal movement to Europe.”

Germany will ask other countries whether they wish to participate in the project.
