CoE to invite Snowden, U.S. officials to debate According to a statement posted on the PACE website, "a committee is to invite whistleblower Edward Snowden and U.S. officials to Strasbourg to debate the two themes of mass surveillance and whistleblowing at linked public hearings in April.” Snowden would be invited to summarize the revelations he has made up to this point, and perhaps to make new ones, said the statement, citing Committee on Legal Affairs and Human Rights Rapporteur Pieter Omtzigt.
