MOSCOW Russia continues to supply anti-missile air defense systems, Russia's arms export agency Rosoboronexport Director Anatoly Isaikin has said. “There are no (UN Security Council) sanctions. We are continuing to carry out our obligations on contracts for the delivery of military hardware,” he told a news conference. “Russia will continue to supply arms to Syria” Isaikin explained the deliveries included anti-missile air defense systems but nothing that could be used as attack weapons such as planes or helicopters. Russia supports Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s regime and has blocked three UN Security Council resolutions aimed at putting pressure on Assad over the almost two-year-old conflict that has killed more than 60,000 people.
