Intensive work is underway to identify the perpetrators of criminal acts related to false reports of bombs that arrive every day at a large number of addresses in Belgrade and other cities throughout Serbia.

Members of the Ministry of the Interior, in cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime and the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade, are intensively investigating these cases, and the Special Department for High-Tech Crime of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade is involved.

Due to the large number of reports of bombs, all available capacities of counter-diversion units of the Ministry of the Interior have been engaged in inspecting the facilities and institutions to which the reports were sent, which have been false so far and are suspected of causing panic and harassment of citizens, it is said in a statement from the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade.
