According to him, the meetings of the team in charge of monitoring the epidemiological situation in the education system will meet on Thursday, and this Thursday the topic will be whether primary school children will return to school in Vojvodina, when their vacation expires. Vojvodina high school students are currently in online classes after the end of their vacation.

So, their vacation has not been extended and that is what the Ministry is advocating.

As for central Serbia, as Blagojevic says, the decision should be made only next Thursday, i.e. in the last week of the winter break.

However, Assistant Minister cannot specify whether the Ministry is closer to extending the holidays or online classes, and when it comes to Vojvodina, where students should return to school after the winter break on Monday, according to Blagojevic, the ministry is still closer to a decision not to extend their vacation. This means that students will attend classes online.

Most likely, such a decision will be made for the rest of Serbia, where the winter break ends on January 24, i.e. the second semester begins on that day.

It should be reminded that the daily record in the number of newly infected with coronavirus was broken on Tuesday, when more than 13.500 infected people were registered, and it should be noted that many epidemiologists believe that this is not a "peak" and that the numbers will continue to grow. They are also afraid of the seasonal flu virus, which traditionally spreads in January. It is already registered in four cities in Serbia.
