More than 2.000 newly infected, 53 people died

There are 3.884 patients on hospital treatment, of which 191 are connected to a respirator.

In the last 24 hours, 16.034 samples were tested, and 6.830.241 since the outbreak of the epidemic.

So far, 1.257.025 cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed in Serbia.

11.744 people died as a consequence of coronavirus infection in Serbia.

Crisis Staff session

The session of the Crisis Staff for the suppression of the coronavirus pandemic started today at 3 p.m., and one of the main topics should be, according to the media, a new strain of coronavirus - omicron, which arrived in some European countries from Africa.

According to the media, COVID passes, school holidays and measures that will be introduced at the ski resorts should also be discussed at the session. When it comes to the winter school holidays, it has been announced for now that it will start on the last day of the year, December 31, while the medical part of the Crisis Staff will ask to be moved to December 18 or 25.
