Serbian kayakers win European medals, smash world record

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic congratulated kayakers Marko Tomicevic and Milenko Zoric for winning the gold medal at the European Championship in Belgrade.

Tomicevic and Zoric became Europe's champions in the K-2 100 race, setting a new world record of 3 minutes 4.940 seconds.

"Another great success for our kayakers! Bravo for Marko Tomicevic and Milenko Zoric! Congratulations on winning the gold medal and more new sports success to come!," Brnabic said.

"I convey my sincere congratulations to the Kayak Association of Serbia," the prime minister said in a congratulatory note on Saturday.

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic congratulated Serbia's Marko Dragosavljevic on winning bronze medal in the K-1 200 race.

"I am sending you the most since congratulations on the bronze medal at the European Championship held in our country. I congratulate the professional team, as well as the Kayak Association of Serbia on this success and I wish you many medals in the future," Brnabic said.

Later on Sunday, Nebojsa Grujic and Marko Novakovic won silver in the K-2 200 race.
