Caritas Serbia has so far earmarked over EUR 1.5 million for supporting migrants in the territory of Serbia, Tanjug is reporting on Monday.

Caritas earmarks over EUR 1.5 million for migrants

Caris is chaired by Roman Catholic Archbishop of Belgrade Stanislav Hocevar.

“So far more than a third of the funds allocated by Caritas has been spent,” Vulin said, adding that the money went to hygienic products, raincoats, food and all other necessities.

He said that so far Serbia has received aid from around the world totaling EUR 9.8 million including donations from the EBRD, the Council of Europe (EUR 2.3 million), governments of Norway (EUR 3.7 million), Japan (EUR 1.2 million), the Great Britain, and more, adding that the EC is expected to allocated EUR 14.7 million for Serbia.
