This was announced by Japanese Ambassador in Belgrade Juichi Takahara.

The aid that will be delivered to Serbia and Macedonia will be aimed at improvement of the conditions for reception of migrants and refugees, conditions of border management and provision of medical services, the Serbian Ministry of Labor said.

After the meeting with Serbian Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Aleksandar Vulin, Takahara underscored that in the given circumstances, "Serbia is behaving as a EU member and is acting in keeping with European values, and is the only country on the migrant route that offers registry for the refugees."

Ambassador Takahara announced that Japan would continue to discuss the possibilities for provision of assistance to Serbia concerning the issue.
