"Chronicles of Threats" wins another international award

This award winning campaign received the Sapphire Award in the category Media - Best Use of Print.

"Chronicles of Threats" is the project initiated by the Serbian Commission for Investigating Murders of Journalists and the OSCE Office for Freedom of the Media, with the aim of fostering public debate and defining the method of efficient protection of journalists that are being exposed to diverse aspects of discrimination, aggression and violence.

This campaign had caused a real storm on social networks, in the media and in public and launched great debate on the position of journalists. Extraordinary interest for this subject had resulted in state institutions' reactions, which in turn caused the re-opening of the old murder cases of journalists Dada Vujasinovic and Milan Pantic, while two indictments were brought after 15 years for the murder of Slavko Curuvija.

The campaign has been presented with the Bronze Lion Award in June this year, on the most prestigious Advertising Festival Cannes Lions, while it got bronze and silver award on Eurobest festival in Helsinki.

The festival brings together professionals from creative agencies, advertising companies, agencies for market research, production

houses, as well as journalists from different fields.

"The commission for investigating killings of journalists is becoming a role model when it comes to the process of solving unresolved murder cases of journalists, especially due to this campaign that brought the second Cannes Lion to the Serbian advertising scene, as well as other valuable awards such as this Sapphire", Veran Matic, Chairman of the Commission, has stated.
