BELGRADE The Green Youth of Serbia on Tuesday organized a small rally in front of the Turkish embassy, in support of the ongoing protests in Turkey. A group of activists gathered opposite the building, carrying banners and shouting slogans in support of the Turkish anti-government protesters. Rally held in Belgrade in support of Turkey protests The demonstrations in several Turkish towns started as peaceful rallies in Istanbul last week, but turned into clashes and riots after a police crackdown. The protests then grew into mass anti-government rallies in Istanbul, Ankara, and more than a dozen other towns. The United Nations on Tuesday advised Turkey to carry out an investigation into the allegations of excessive use of force by the police.
