Pope’s envoy to attend Edict of Milan celebrations

Pope Francis’ envoy Archbishop of Milan Angelo Scola will visit Serbia for the celebrations of 17 centuries of Emperor Constantine's Edict of Milan.

Scola will visit Belgrade and Niš from September 19 to 22, the Vatican Information Service has reported.

The Catholic Church will mark the anniversary with a service in Niš on September 21, it was announced earlier.

In addition to the Pope's envoy Cardinal Scola, the Zagreb and Sarajevo cardinals, bishops, clergy and believers from all countries in the region are expected to attend the celebration.
