The remains of Queen Marija and Queen Aleksandra, mother and wife of the late king, will arrive in Serbia soon.

They will lie in state at the chapel within the court complex in Dedinje, a part of Belgrade, where Petar II's remains are currently located.

The king's body was transported to Belgrade from Libertyville on January 22, ending the decades-long exile of Yugoslavia's last monarch, who came from the Serbian Karađorđević dynasty.

Petar II never abdicated and lived in London before moving to the U.S., where he died in 1970.

He was buried at the Church of St. Sava in Libertyville, Illinois.
