NEW YORK United Nations General Assembly President Vuk Jeremic reacted to the acquittal of Ramush Haradinaj by tweeting that these are "days of evil". "These are days of evil. We must not become despondent. Let's be ready for April 10, 2013, the day of truth," the former Serbian foreign minister posted on his online account. Jeremic urges strength of spirit in "days of evil" A while later, in another message, Jeremic added that "those whose system of values is like that are freely gloating", but added that "some were rejoicing in a similar manner to the fascist (WW2) occupation, thinking it would last forever". Jeremic's reference to April 10 was a reminder that he had scheduled a UN General Assembly debate on UN's ad hoc tribunals, including that located in The Hague. The public debate was called earlier this month after two former Croat generals, also accused of committing war crimes against Serbs, were set free by the Hague. At the time, the UNGA president said the decision had dealt a blow to the reputation of the world organization. Vuk Jeremic (file) B92
