"According to the appraisal we did when we launched the new campaign, Battle for Maternity Wards, it will take some EUR 3mn to completely equip over 50 health care institutions in Serbia. Currently, we have raised about a quarter of the sum, while we are in communication on a daily basis with other potential donors. Simply put, we have an opportunity to, after raising two million for incubators, make another big step for the benefit of our youngest fellow citizens, and we will not give up the fight until we finally reach this goal that is important for the whole country," said Matic. Rifat Krlic, Emrah Ustaomer (B92) Milan Popovic - who is thus far the campaign's biggest individual donor with over EUR 400,000 - stressed that he will remain committed to solving the problems faced by those institutions where new lives are born and where the lives of the youngest are being saved, and appealed on others who are able to contribute to do so, via this campaign that is solving key problems throughout Serbia in a systematic manner. Pediatric Surgery Ward Director Mila Stajevic appealed on the campaign to secure the purchase of special incubators meant for this ward, and Popovic reacted by deciding to finance two such machines, in another donation worth some EUR 30,000. The Battle for Maternity Wards is continuing through Serbia.
