The match lasted 71 minutes and ended in Đoković's 6-3, 6-3 victory - the 20th title of his career, and his Dubai "hat trick".

The victory brought him 500 ATP points and USD 385,000 in reward money.

Đoković continued his successful score against Federer this year, whom he also beat in the final of the Australian Open. Overall, Federer has 13 victories from 21 matches against Đoković.

"I played really well here. It's a great challenge playing Roger Federer and I had to be at the top of my game if I was going to win," the 23-year-old Serbian, who has won 12 matches without losing any thus far this year, told journalists.
