N. Pazar remembers 11 killed in NATO attacks

Flowers were laid and candles lit at the monument in memory of 11 civilians killed by NATO bombs in Novi Pazar in 1999.

“Serbia and Novi Pazar endured the horror. We are obligated by this place and date to remember,” Mayor Mirsad Đerlek said at the ceremony.

An apartment building in Novi Pazar was hit by NATO bombs on May 31, 1999. Eleven young people were killed and 35 injuring. Two-year-old Marko Simić was the youngest victim.
