The public prosecutor plans to appeal the sentence issued to Petar Sisovic, found guilty for the car crash that claimed the life of actor Milenko Zablacanski. The prosecutor said that the one-year prison sentence issued by the District Court in Cajetina was completely unsatisfactory, and that he would be filing an appeal within the legal prescribed time frame. Prosecution to appeal "lenient sentence" for actor killer Sisovic was sentenced yesterday to one year in prison and banned from driving for causing the accident in Zlatibor on January 5, 2007, seriously injuring the Serbian actor, who died of his injuries on January 22. “This kind of sentence is the result of a lenient sentencing policy that the public prosecutor has drawn attention to many times. We believe that these sentences do not achieve the aim of special or even general prevention,” said prosecution spokesman Tomo Zoric in a signed statement.
